"Flat" was a participatory, collaborative crochet art project. On-site at the Hardturm site, attendees were invited to sketch their favorite living room furniture in a few simple lines, which were then crocheted in two dimensions. The crochet materials were made exclusively from completely biodegradable materials, such as jute and organic wool (vegetable-dyed wool) and wooden crochet hooks (treated with organic oils). The organic wool and wooden crochet hooks were made by Anna & Juan.
The finished flat crochet living room furniture was placed continuously on the surreal-looking grandstand, or its remnants, flowing down the steps. (Referring to Salvador Dalí's "La persistencia de la memoria," the image of melting pocket watches.)
"Flat" remains on the Hardturm vacant lot and moves a few meters further back into the #urbangarden, where the art is left to nature and the ravages of time, eventually becoming earth.

«Flat» war eine partizipative, kollaborative Häkel Kunstaktion. Vor Ort wurden auf der Hardturmbrache, Anwesende dazu eingeladen, ihr Lieblings Wohnzimmer Möbel mit wenigen Strichen zu zeichnen, diese wurden in der Folge zweidimensional nachgehäkelt. Die Häkelmaterialien sind ausschliesslich aus komplett biologisch abbaubarem Material, wie Jute und Bio-Wolle (pflanzlich gefärbte Wolle) Holzhäklein (Mit Bioölen behandelt). Die fertigen flachen Häkel Wohnzimmermöbel, wurden fortlaufend auf der surreal anmutenden Tribüne, oder deren Überreste, herunterfliessend über die Stufen gelegt. (In Anlehnung an „La persistencia de la memoria“ das Bild der schmelzenden Taschenuhren von Salvador Dalí)
«Flat» bleibt auf der Hardturmbrache und zieht ein paar Meter weiter nach hinten in den #urbangarden, dort wird die Kunst der Natur und dem Zahn der Zeit überlassen und wird dann schlussendlich zu Erde
